Edelwiess, nestled far from the city in the heart of the Alps, is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the simple yet fine cuisine. It is ideally suited for celebrating a memory, a wedding banquet, or just to enjoy an evening in the countryside.
Opened in 1960 by the Facciola family, it remains the most extensive and varied hosting facility in the Ossola Valley. Over the years it has been gradually renovated and extended with great care, offering a wellness center with swimming pool, two homey restaurant halls, a bar, and sunny veranda overlooking the garden.
The recently renovated rooms are serviced by an elevator and are tastefully furnished with attention to every detail and full comfort, including TV and WiFi. The balcony offers an extraordinary view of the valley and Mount Cistella.
Initiated by the grandparents, Edelweiss remains a family passion: Papa Gian Marco and son Ugo in the kitchen, Mamma Iolanda to greet you at the reception and daughter Cristina in the dining room. The search for quality and the satisfaction of our guests is what sets Edelweiss apart and you will recognize in our dishes the dedication to offering quality local produce.

The kitchen is directly overseen by the proprietors; the simple but succulent dishes are rich with local products featuring meat and wild game which has been selected and hunted in the valley. Not to miss are the chef's cured meats, handmade pasta, gnocchetti with village ricotta, and homemade ice cream and desserts. Already at breakfast you will enjoy marmalade, yogurt, butter and other delicacies prepared in the village.
In the Wellness Center, for those moments of relax, you will find the covered swimming pool, fully equiped with hydro massage and counter current swimming, heated to 32 degrees, as well as a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, fitness gym and childrens play area.
Exiting highway E62 for Valle Antigorio-Formazza you follow on until arriving at Crodo where you turn left in the direction of Mozzio Viceno. If you prefer a less winding road you can continue on where you will find sign posting for Cravegna-Viceno a few kilometers before arriving in Baceno.
Viceno, a pleasant village surrounded by charming landscapes, is at an altitude of 900 meters. The Veglia Devero Natural Park, the Orridi of Uriezzo and the Toce Waterfall are nearby attractions. Just around the corner is the Mountain House Village Museum which offers an occasion to immerse yourself in local culture.
